Each piece of the sunburst frame is printed with a beautiful aged wood texture. And once assembled, it looks like boards that create a large frame. The assembled DIY mirror is 23″ in diameter.
You can use it by itself on a wall. Or create a cluster of wall decor my mixing it with other mirrors and frames. Or make multiple sizes of this sunburst mirror for a unique display.
The possibilities are endless!

- 5″-8″ round mirror
- Optional: Electronic cutting machine
- I love using my Silhouette Cameo to quickly cut out paper decor projects, but you can also use scissors and an x-acto knife.
Print on cardstock and cut out along the solid line 20 of the mirror pieces. If using an electronic cutting machine, use the print & cut feature.
There are 5 different wood texture designs so you can mix and match them how you like to create a realistic looking wood mirror.
Fold along all of the dotted lines to prepare for glueing.
Assemble each piece by gluing together the corner tabs at the top of the fan so the piece creates a box.
The glue the back of the box flat against the flaps on the sides of the box. Repeat for the rest of the fan pieces.
Assemble the mirror frame by glueing the mirror fans together in a random pattern. Add hot glue to the sides of the pieces and hold them tight together to secure.
Once the mirror frame is assembled, glue the mirror to the center back of it.
I used a larger mirror to add stability to the finished mirror. If you are using a smaller mirror, you may want to use some of the scraps of cardstock to glue straps across the back of the mirror to keep the pieces from pulling away from each other.
Once the glue is dry, your mirror is ready to hang.
My favorite part about paper framed mirrors, they are lightweight. I hang mine with these command strips to limit the holes in my walls!
